It’s the name of a record now. It’s the name of the band that’s releasing the record by the same name on Dec. 13th. Whatchathinkaboutdat?

More info to come soon.

Amazingly, the studio that we are recording at has (on loan) a set of the best speakers in the world. No joke. They are technically and actually, the most accurate, and amazing speakers that mankind has ever made. They are beautiful to hear anything out of. The new Al Green record sounds smashing.

This is the sub enclosure. There are two 18″ subs stashed in this garbage can looking thing.

This is the main speaker, or speakers. Many of them.

A shittier but more complete shot of them…

For a mere $80 thousand dollars you can be in good company (think Prince of Dubai) as the proud owner of these pretty things.

I’ve been spending a lot of time here the last 2 days. Daytime television is no joke. What a waste of a perfectly good day. In this case, I feel like my options are limited as I’ve been home sick.

On Saturday night Heiruspecs played a show in Duluth. It was an outdoor show in a cold and rainy setting. I came home, went to a party, felt great. Went through Sunday and felt great until about 8pm when my voice left the building and I suddenly developed a monster headache. Bleh.

Yesterday it took me 45 minutes in the morning to get enough of my voice back to call in sick. This morning I just texted my managers. I don’t get sick often so when it hits me, it hits hard.

Tonight Heiruspecs is supposed to be in the studio. I am probably gonna have to cancel it or at very least, not track vocals today and reschedule that part of the session. I hope to have a voice by then, but even if I do, I wont be able to rap the way I’d need to for recording. Lame.

Either way, I just want this to end. Drinking lots of orange juice and taking Ibuprofen. Anyone who knows me well knows how much I detest the idea of any medication. So yes, I am taking this very seriously. Back to bed now… Love ya’ll.

So this morning I rode my bike in to work. It felt very good. I haven’t been riding for a while for a number of reasons. Mostly, the Republicrat National Convention was in town and Post Road going by the airport was closed so the FBI could stage thousands of riot police. I don’t feel like riding through a militarized zone on the way to work at 6am.

As I was saying, I rode. It was dark and a little cold. Most of the ride was easy but I guess I was expecting that it would get brighter out as I rode. Wrong. A while back, I broke the headlight on my bike. So going from Minnehaha Falls into Ft. Snelling State Park on the commute was interesting. There is a path about 1 mile long that follows the river down to the fort. It isn’t lit and so I was crawling along until 3 guys on mountain bikes flew by. They had lights so I followed them. I am not sure where they were headed but they were moving fast. I was thankful for the light. Prior to that on the path, I had only seen one oncoming rider who was stopped with his flashing headlight blinking away. I HATE those things now. They fool the eye. I couldn’t tell where the path was, where the rider was, if he was moving, or anything…

I really like the morning commute because there is hardly any traffic on a typical day so I don’t have to worry about being a moving target. It’s the opposite on the way home.

I got all the way to work before realizing that I forgot to bring my fucking lock. Whatever. My bike is in the office hiding in a closet. Hopefully no one notices and complains.

BIKE GANG

I have to go buy a new headlight for my bike. I’ll do that this weekend.

This year in the Twin Cities, there are a LOT more people commuting on bikes. I think that’s only a good thing. I hope the numbers increase.

Like this?

Why are auto manufacturers trying to make electric cars look like they have traveled back in time? Just make it look cool. The prius is/was ugly. Even though they are everywhere and we are all used to seeing them, they’re ugly. Get with it.

The homey Rob just picked up an S15 in japan. Lucky boy…
