So, luckily I have not invested heavily in the stock market. No doubt you’ve heard about the daily drops in our stock market. Technically the market crashes if it loses 10% of it’s value in one trading day. We’ve come close a few times in the last couple of weeks but cumulatively, we have gone WAY more than 10% down the hole.
There is a 700bn dollar bailout of banks. I would just like to point out that bankers designed this bailout to take care of themselves. Taxpayer pays for it. Sweet.
Do I think any of this is going to solve the underlying problem of us big fat americans living beyond our means? NO. We, the people, apparently have a feeling of entitlement that we should really drop. We, as a result live a lifestyle we can’t afford. So how is it that we came to think we deserve it?
Personally, I was thinking about buying a new car. Instead, I’ll buy an old car. It’ll probably be cooler anyways. Certainly cheaper. I’m in no position to buy a house and I know it. Now if only others would realize the same.
end rant.
