Actually getting involved
Let me preface this by saying that I don’t care who you are voting for this election. I’m not trying to tell you to choose as I am. Just vote. If you don’t like Obama, just share in my excitement even if you wont share in his success. Fine by me.
In case you didn’t know by now. I lean a little to the left politically. Heiruspecs had a good time making a video where people pretended I was Obama. Twinkie and I decided we better go down and do what we could to get the guy elected. Best not get sued for impersonating him in a rap video. Suck up ya’ll, suck up.
This is my home boy Mastermind. He runs the Obama campaign offices in St. Paul.
Here we have Sean aka Twinkie showing ya’ll what we came to do. We called a ton of people just trying to make sure that they were all set up to vote and asking if they’d vote for the guy they see on TV.
Me on my way out the door. It was a good time. Got some folks to volunteer. Thanks to Rena for volunteering to call spanish speaking voters!
I think you underestimate the sneakiness…

Woke up so far it’s a good AM.
I guess it’s better to start last night.
After work yesterday I took the train home with my fellow Droog Jon. We met a super awesome Vietnam veteran who told us terrible jokes about Obama being like Osama. This is a train, so the social code says you don’t speak unless spoken to. I added fuel to the flame and told him Obama’s middle name. He got off at the VA Hospital. I hope the give him a bath there. God damn he needed one.
I stopped at the Army/Navy surplus store downtown because I am looking for some kickass boots. I am torn. Prolly go back on friday and actually get the ones I looked at. Pics will follow.
Next I stopped at Nami. Eboun didn’t feel so good about how she did on a test she took yesterday so I grabbed her some sushi from my good friend Yo. He made it spicy like she likes. Then I walked over the bridge to St. Anthony Main and fed her Sushi at work. She better love me dammit. Lol.
Then I went home and got some non work clothes on and we immediately set out to see the movie Max Payne. It was Aaaight. In my half assed tradition of doing movie reviews here’s a quarter assed set of ramblings pertaining to that film.
It lacked story details it sorely needed. Ludacris is too famous of a rapper to be anything else to me. I don’t buy his character as a cop. Sorry.
He was decent in this movie. I like the bad ass characters he plays. Think 4 Brothers… Mark’s brother was just here on tour with the New Kids on the Block.
Max is a cop who comes home to find his wife and child murdered and he spends his whole sad carreer hunting down leads to solve the case. Then it turns out his wife is responsible for a sort of chemical soldier enhancement drug that turns people into junkies. He confronts a ton of junkies, temporarily becomes one, gets revenge, teaches me what the Valkrie was, and kicks the girl in the next picture out of his bed. What a moron. Oh, and he dies for a second. Twice. But then gets arrested and such. Valkries.
Olga Kurylenko is a name I will try to remember. She was dead sexy in her short role in this movie so I suspect she’ll be a Maxim cover girl and go on to do Bond girl type roles in the future. I normally think of Olga as an old womans name. Not any more. HOT HOT HOT!!!
I was never a big fan of ‘That 70′s Show’ when it was on so I really know Mila Kunis as the voice of Meg Griffin from ‘Family Guy’. I didn’t even recognize her at first in this movie. She was dressed all dark and wierd. I kept wanting to call her Meg. Lol. She seems to know her way around guns well though so hey…
That was the whole review – reread if you have any questions.
I went home after the movie and uploaded the new HEIRUSPECS VIDEO. Sleep.

This morning (Yes we are finally to the subject of this post) I got up late and ran for the bus. Caught it. I am wearing all black and it was dark, so the driver probably just didnt’ see me at first. No biggie. I started my usual BBC World News 6am podcast and rode downtown. It ended when I got off the bus.
I got to the train station and there were three ladies from the National Guard all uniformed up and they asked me what time it was. I told them and then they sucked me into some small talk. They were all hyper and giddy. It definitely wore off on me. I was in a panic type of mood but I’m feeling great right now.
At any rate, I got on the train and started listening to another more upbeat podcast that I have fallen in love with – Tiesto’s Club Life. It’s a production of Radio 538, who also bring you Dance Dept. which I have mentioned before. Hannah will know all about Tiesto but if YOU don’t, he is a SO/SO producer who is an AMAZING live trance DJ.
This was a particularly good edition of his podcast in my opinion. Check it out if you’re into dance music. He doesn’t just bore you with all of his own remixes of stuff thankfully.
Now I am at my desk at work. Free donut long gone, and listening to the new TI record. The song “What Up, What’s Happening” totally owns me. Music owns me. My iPod owns me. Thank god for music.
