My friend and fellow Heiruspecs member John “Muad’dib” Harrison II has found himself in a jam. He has an ailment which will require surgery to remedy. As many of my friends are, he is broke and without insurance. I ask that you keep him in your thoughts and if you are in the position to offer a small financial offering to assist him in covering medical expenses, please let me know by emailing me at whoisfelix@hotmail.com. Hard times fall on all of us and sometimes we need extraordinary help to get through things.

Muad’dib is the other MC in our rap group and he’s a generally good guy. Hit me up!

Heiruspecs is going to be featuring a lot of the great music that has come out of CentralHigh School on the radio in advance of their scholarship appearance. We are especially interested in hearing from Central students or Central graduates who are in the know. If you have audio and/or recommendations, please send them along to eric@heiruspecs.com

Dessa tells the truth about collaborating with Heiruspecs

Dessa and Heiruspecs have been working together for over 3 years and this Friday marks a special night in their history of collaboration. Dessa’s new quartet featuring Josh and Twinkie of Heiruspecs will be playing alongside Dessa at the release show for new record, "A Badly Broken Code". Her band will be reinterpreting Dessa tunes from her entire career and the show is going to be wonderful. After being offered a tremendous amount of hummus, red wine and Kool G. Rap CDs Dessa shared these kind words about playing with Heiruspecs.

"Some of the best moments in my musical career have been made possible by the instrumentalists of Heiruspecs. I’ve long considered myself lucky to have found such talented, sharp, funny and kind players who are willing to join me on stage.
