We just arrived in Osaka City.
On our way to our accommodation first to leave our luggages and rest first.
On our way to our place, we need to transfer stations and on the way to the other station we passed by this street mall where there are several restos and stalls selling different kinds of things.
Route map of Osaka. Looks complicated ay? at first yeah. but you just have to look for the train station and what line you need to get to and that will probably be fine.
Our accommodation. We booked in AirBNB. I suggest you book at AirBNB as well since they are very popular for accommodation in Japan. Very cheap and more convenient as per my experience comparing to staying at hotels. Please visit Where to stay in Fukuoka, Osaka & Tokyo, Japan for guides & tips getting accommodation
Our host jsut gave us instructions on how to get to the apartment and it’s key.
Our toilet & shower were clean and nice. However using the shower is a bit annoying for it takes several minutes for the water to heat up then it gets cold again. I talked to the host about this issue but unfortunately, it was not resolved during our stay.
We just rested for few minutes then we were on our way to Dotonbori to eat and explore!
We wonder around Dotonbori and eat whatever food we see that looks good!
Kindly visit Eat til you drop in Dotonbori, Osaka, Japan for more details on things we did in Dotonbori.
Afterwards, we just went home and rest to be ready for the next day..
We grab a bite first in the shopping mall on our way to the train station.
We can’t resist these good looking bread.. very good indeed!
We are on our way to Osaka Station..
Getting to Osaka Castle – From the station there are instructions and signs on how to go there. just follow it.
It might take you around 20mins of walking to go on top.. don’t worry, it’s a good exercise!
This time capsule is pretty interesting, I wonder what happens when they open it years later?
There were several food stalls outside Osaka Castle for people who got hungry walking towards there. We did and we got Takoyaki. Yum!
Saw some Cherry Blossoms on the way back to train station from Osaka Castle. Soooooo beautiful!
After Osaka Castle, we had bread and coffee in the mall beside Osaka train station before going home.
After resting, I decided to go out again. My mother was pretty tired and didn’t bother to come with me.
Osaka Shinsekai is close to our accommodation. Maybe around 20min walk? It was already night time when I got there and most of the shops were already closed. but restos were still open. Time to get some foooood.
I’m wondering around this area and looking for a place to eat.. mmmm..
This resto has a lot of people eating inside so I’m assuming it’s good. Haha
Watched this guy make the fresh sushi in front of me. I was already drooling just watching him prepare it.
Look at thaaaat! Uni, Salmon Roe, Scallops, Salmon & Crab. What can go wrong with these???
I swear this is one of the best sushi I’ve eaten! I enjoyed every bite of it.
To cap off the night, I bought a beer and drank it on my way home. (yeah it’s allowed haha)
I went to Kyoto the next day. To read visit Things to do in Kyoto, Japan
