1D Itinerary Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – Petronas Twin Towers, Batu Caves & Jalan Alor Bukit Bintang
Malaysia is a good place for solo travelling with laid-back atmosphere. Kuala Lumpur is Malaysia’s capital city and you can see and experience this beautiful city along with its famous tourists destinations just in one day!
This blog will take you to see Batu Caves, Petronas Twin Towers and eat at Jalan Alor, Bukit Bintang. Things you must try if you are just spending a day in this city.
Be sure to start the day early so you’ll have a lot of time and not rushing around.
Access: Go to KL Sentral Railway Station and uy your ticket going to ‘Batu Caves Station’ and the line you will be using is KTM Komuter. Travel time is around 30 minutes.
Open: 6:00 – 21:00 daily
As you arrive at the station. There will be posts/instructions and just follow it.
There will be a lot of tourists. There’s also street foods & restos in case you get hungry.
Just go straight after you get out of the station or follow where people are heading to see the giant golden buddha.
If you’re up for some exercise you can go up that long stairs. It’s approximately 272 steps. That’s a lot of calories you will burn and an extra doughnut you can eat. Hehe. There are still things to see up there so it’s worth it.
Awesome view from the top.
You will see a lot of monkeys roaming around while climbing up the stairs. You can feed them but don’t try to touch them because they might attack you.
This is the inside view of the cave. It’s huge. There are some areas where people pray.
If you look closer, you can see the twin towers here and the beautiful city of Kuala Lumpur. Amazing!
After Batu Caves, we’ll now go to the famous Petronas Twin Towers. Just get off at Sentral Station and from there take another train to the nearest stop going there.
Petronas Twin Towers
Access: From KL Sentral, use the Rapid KLLRT Train (Kelana Jaya Line). Go to the Rapid KL LRT Platform to board the LRT train to the Gombak direction (not Kelana Jaya direction). The LRT will bring you directly to KLCC station and from there, just walk until you reach the towers.
It’s an awesome feeling just standing here getting to see those towers. I always see it on magazines or news and it was a great experience to see it personally.
You can also buy ticket and go up the tower and see the the beautiful city of Kuala Lumpur. But I didn’t bother to check it out since I don’t have any time.
You can walk around and take pictures. There’s a mall near the place where you can grab a quick bite. But if you still have energy, I suggest to try and eat at local areas to fully experience the place.
It looks good from far view.
There’s also malls near the place so you can do your shopping there if you still have time.
I just walk around and might see anything I want. You can also go to Bukit Bintang, it’s near the towers. It’s a shopping area.
If you are now hungry, I recommend to try Jalan Alor. It’s better if you go there at night time because that is the time where stalls are open. I’m not in KL at night time anymore so might as well go and check it out. It’s only a small walk from Bukit Bintang and you can see directions leading you there.
As I expected, only few stalls are opened because it was still afternoon.

The vibe is there. You can sense that it is a good place to hang out on night times.
I was hungry and just picked a stall where a lot of people were eating.
Going to Singapore
By the time I finished eating, I went back to my Hostel, got my things and went back to Sentral Station. As I have booked a bus trip going to Singapore.
